1 / 6Model: SWH-500
Laboratory hydrogen generator producing 99.99% pure H2 at 0–500 ml/min by water electrolysis, with LCD flow display and anti-backflow protection.
The Swiben SWH-500 is a benchtop hydrogen generator that produces hydrogen gas through electrolysis of a KOH solution. It delivers an output flow rate of 0–500 ml/min at a hydrogen purity of 99.99%, making it suitable as a carrier or fuel gas source for gas chromatography.
The unit integrates liquid storage, the electrolytic cell, and gas purification in a single enclosure measuring 525 × 310 × 405 mm and weighing 14 kg. Routine upkeep consists of topping off the water supply, and it runs on standard lab mains power.
It is intended for analytical laboratories and extraction/processing facilities that need an on-demand hydrogen supply without storing pressurized cylinders.
A potassium hydroxide (KOH) water solution serves as the conductive medium inside the electrolytic cell, with a membrane separating the two electrode chambers. When direct current is applied, water molecules undergo electrolysis, generating oxygen at the anode and hydrogen at the cathode. The hydrogen passes through an integrated purifier before delivery, while an anti-backflow device prevents liquid return.
