The Swiben DW-86L308 is an upright ultra-low temperature (ULT) freezer designed for the cold storage of biological samples, cells, tissues, and other laboratory materials. It offers a 308 L interior and adjustable cooling across an ultra-low range reaching -86°C.
The cabinet uses a power-coated steel exterior in beige white with a 304 stainless steel interior and 120 mm insulation. Three inner doors help limit cold loss during access, and the unit is fitted with castors for positioning within a lab.
It is intended for research laboratories and facilities that need stable long-term storage of temperature-sensitive samples.
The freezer uses an autocascade single-stage compression refrigeration system with a mixed CFC-free refrigerant, a Secop compressor, copper-tube evaporator, and an EBM condenser fan to reach and maintain ultra-low temperatures. A digital display shows the set and actual temperature, and a combined sound-and-light alarm signals out-of-range conditions. Defrosting is performed manually.
