This MTST ultra-low temperature freezer is built for laboratory storage at temperatures down to -86°C. It offers a 58 L (2.05 cu ft) interior lined with 304 stainless steel and runs on 110V power rated at 380 W.
Temperature is managed by a microcomputer controller with a real-time digital display and 0.1°C adjustment resolution. Controls and the temperature readout are positioned on the front of the cabinet for direct access.
The unit suits labs that need cold storage of temperature-sensitive samples and materials. It includes a door lock, heavy-duty casters for relocation, and an alarm system for over-temperature and system fault conditions.
A compressor-based refrigeration system circulates refrigerant through a tubular copper-tube evaporator to chill the stainless steel inner chamber. A microcomputer controller monitors and adjusts the setpoint in 0.1°C increments, while a thick insulation layer reduces heat loss and an EBM fan supports heat dissipation.
