This Swiben vertical ultra-low temperature freezer provides cold storage down to -86°C with a usable volume of 108 liters (about 3.8 cubic feet). It uses microcomputer digital control with a real-time LED temperature display and a 0.1°C adjustment increment, along with a built-in alarm system.
The interior cavity is constructed from 304 stainless steel, and a thick insulation layer helps limit heat transfer. Front-mounted controls and indicators keep operation accessible, while heavy-duty casters allow the unit to be repositioned and a door lock restricts unauthorized opening.
The freezer is intended for research institutions, university and industrial laboratories, and low-temperature testing of materials and electronic components.
A compressor refrigeration system feeds a tubular copper-tube evaporator to draw the chamber down to its setpoint within the -40 to -86°C range. A microcomputer controller monitors the chamber temperature, displays it on an LED readout, and triggers the alarm system when conditions fall outside set limits. An air-pressure balance port equalizes internal pressure for easier door opening.
