The Swiben DL-5/20CT is a benchtop cryogenic cold trap that uses auto-cascade refrigeration to reach a no-load minimum temperature of -20°C. It is intended for trapping gas condensate, providing a cryogenic liquid bath, and capturing low-boiling solvents and hazardous vapors before they reach downstream equipment.
With a 5L capacity and temperature precision of ±0.2°C, the unit operates over a range from room temperature down to -20°C. A glass cold trap with a smooth interior allows use with corrosive materials, and condensate can collect directly on the trap wall or in glass collection bottles.
The design suits laboratories performing solvent recovery, material testing, oil and gas recovery, and related cryogenic processing tasks on a bench or in a fume hood.
The system uses auto-cascade refrigeration to chill the trap interior to as low as -20°C. Vapors passing through the cold trap condense on the cooled glass surface or into attached collection bottles, where condensate can be drained through the fitted valve for collection or discharge.
