The MTST GDX-5L is a combined heating and cooling temperature circulator that pairs a low-temperature cooling liquid pump with a high-temperature oil bath in a single integrated unit. It operates across a temperature range of -30°C to 199°C with a 5 L capacity.

The system uses a sealed liquid circuit with a separate expansion vessel that is mechanically connected but isolated from the circulating medium, keeping the expansion vessel below 60°C regardless of process temperature. Because the loop is closed, water vapor is not drawn in at low temperatures and oil mist is not drawn in at high temperatures.

This unit is suited to research and laboratory settings in academic, environmental, biochemical, medical, and chemical fields where a wide working temperature range is required from one device.

How It Works

A circulating pump moves heat transfer fluid through a heating and cooling integrated container that provides a large heat exchange area for faster temperature changes with a relatively small fluid volume. The closed loop connects to an isolated expansion vessel that accommodates fluid expansion without participating in circulation, allowing continuous deep heating or cooling between -30°C and 199°C.
