1 / 8The VC-5000 is a laboratory vacuum controller designed to regulate and hold a target vacuum level inside rotary evaporators, distillation setups, and reaction vessels. It pairs a corrosion-resistant pressure sensor with a solenoid valve to maintain the set pressure automatically.
The unit reads and displays both the measured and the set pressure on an LCD touch screen, and the target vacuum can be entered directly on the display. Maintaining a stable vacuum helps control boiling behavior and reduce bumping during reduced-pressure concentration, which is useful when working with volatile, low-boiling solvents.
It is intended for use with vacuum distillation and concentration equipment in the approximate 10–50 L range and can connect to systems from various manufacturers.
A semiconductor pressure sensor monitors the vacuum inside the connected vessel, and the controller opens or closes a solenoid valve to bring the measured pressure to the set value and hold it there. A one-button function releases the vacuum when a run is complete.
