1 / 13The MTST UH-150 is a portable ultrasonic homogenizer designed to apply cavitation in liquids using ultrasonic waves. It can disrupt cells from animal and plant tissues, bacteria, and viruses, and is also suited to emulsification, dispersion, particle separation, and nanomaterial preparation.
The unit handles sample volumes from 0.1 to 150 mL and accepts interchangeable probes of 2, 3, or 6 mm diameter, allowing it to match a range of vessel sizes and applications. Integrated temperature monitoring helps protect samples from overheating during processing.
It is intended for teaching, research, and production work across biology, microbiology, chemistry, agriculture, and pharmacology laboratories.
The processor converts electrical energy into high-frequency ultrasonic vibration (20–25 kHz) delivered through a probe immersed in the sample. The resulting cavitation generates rapid pressure changes in the liquid that mechanically disrupt cells and disperse particles. Pulse and interval times can be programmed to control energy delivery, while sample temperature is monitored to limit heating.
