1 / 19The Swiben QBW3-25 is a sanitary pneumatic double diaphragm pump constructed in 304 stainless steel, with wetted parts available in SS304 or SS316. It uses compressed air rather than an electric motor to move fluid, which allows it to operate in flammable or explosive environments without producing sparks or excess heat.
The pump is self-priming and handles a range of difficult media, including corrosive, high-viscosity, volatile, and particle-bearing liquids. Inlet and outlet connections are 1-1/2 inch G (BSPP), and the unit operates at pressures up to 8.4 bar.
It is intended for fluid transfer duties in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing settings where contamination control and chemical compatibility matter.
Two symmetrical pump chambers each contain a diaphragm joined by a central connecting rod. Compressed air enters one chamber and flexes its diaphragm, drawing liquid into the opposite chamber while discharging from the working side. An air distribution valve then reverses the supply, reciprocating the diaphragms back and forth. Ball check valves at the inlet and outlet open and close with each stroke to draw fluid in and prevent backflow, producing continuous flow.
