The MTST SS-20L is a double-walled stainless steel stirred reactor with a 20-liter working volume. The inner vessel holds the reaction medium for stirred processing, while the surrounding jacket circulates a hot or cold medium (such as oil, hot water, or refrigerant) for temperature control.

Constructed from 304 stainless steel with 3 mm wall thickness, the unit can run under atmospheric pressure or under vacuum down to -0.09 MPa, and supports reflux and distillation setups through its port configuration. Internal heating reaches RT to 300°C.

It is intended for pilot-scale and production work in fine chemical, synthesis, and related laboratory environments where controlled stirred reactions are required.

How It Works

Reaction material is loaded into the inner vessel and agitated by the variable-speed stirrer driven by a 0.55 kW gear motor. A separate heat-transfer fluid is circulated through the jacket to heat or cool the contents to a set temperature, and the sealed vessel can be operated at reduced pressure to support vacuum-assisted reactions, reflux, or distillation.
