The Swiben Vortex-5s is a benchtop vortex mixer designed for homogenizing and agitating liquids inside tubes and small containers. It uses a DC motor driving an eccentric mechanism to produce orbital shaking with a 4 mm orbital diameter, across an adjustable speed range of 100 to 3000 rpm.

The unit offers two operation modes: touch-activated light sensing and continuous running. A digital timer can be set from 1 second up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds, with automatic shutoff when the cycle completes.

How It Works

A permanent magnet DC motor drives an eccentric assembly that produces a 4 mm orbital motion. When a container is pressed onto the head in light-sensing mode, the mixer activates automatically to homogenize the liquid; continuous mode keeps the unit running for the set duration.
