The LGP-3L is a laboratory spray dryer that converts liquid materials directly into fine powder in a single step, without separate filtration, concentration, or grinding beforehand. It handles a range of feed types including solutions, emulsions, and suspensions.
The system uses a two-fluid atomizing nozzle and a built-in oil-free air compressor to produce powder with a normally distributed particle size. All wetted parts and the main body are constructed from stainless steel, supporting a clean drying environment.
It is intended for research and development labs that need to produce small, uniform powder samples from liquid feedstock, with feed volumes adjustable down to about 50 mL.
Liquid feed is delivered by an adjustable peristaltic pump to a two-fluid (dual-fluid) atomizing nozzle, where compressed air breaks it into a fine spray. The droplets contact heated inlet air in the drying chamber, evaporating the solvent and leaving dry powder. PID constant-temperature control regulates the drying zone to within ±1°C, and a through-needle nozzle cleaner clears blockages automatically when working with viscous materials.
