1 / 11The MTST LPG-10 is a laboratory and pilot-scale spray dryer that converts liquid feedstocks into dry powder in a single continuous pass. It uses a compressed-air-driven centrifugal atomizing head running at up to 25,000 rpm with a 50 mm spray disc to disperse feed into fine droplets within a heated drying chamber.
The unit is electrically heated with a 20 kW heat source, operating at inlet temperatures of 140–350 °C and outlet temperatures of 80–90 °C, and can evaporate up to 10 kg of moisture per hour. A cyclone separator recovers the dried product, with a stated dry powder recovery rate of at least 95 percent.
It is intended for labs and small production facilities working with liquid solutions, suspensions, and extracts that need to be reduced to powder form.
Liquid feed is delivered to a centrifugal spray head driven by compressed air, which spins at up to 25,000 rpm to atomize the feed into fine droplets. The droplets meet a stream of electrically heated air in the drying chamber, where moisture evaporates rapidly and solids form into powder. The resulting powder is carried into a cyclone separator for collection, while spent air exits the system.
