1 / 6Model: KD-80-2
Low-speed benchtop laboratory centrifuge with a 12×20ml rotor, 4000 rpm top speed, and adjustable 0–60 minute timer.
The MTST KD-80-2 is a low-speed benchtop centrifuge designed for routine separation work in biology, medical, and chemistry laboratories. It accommodates 12 tubes of 20ml each and reaches a maximum speed of 4000 rpm, generating up to 2325 ×g of centrifugal force.
A pointer-type control with an adjustable 0–60 minute timer allows the operator to set run durations for repeatable runs. The unit uses a stainless steel liner and operates at a compact desktop footprint, making it suitable for teaching, research, and general production settings.
With outer dimensions of 31.5×28×28.5 cm and a weight of 8 kg, the KD-80-2 fits on a standard lab bench and is intended for separating cells, large particles, and similar sample types.
Samples are loaded into the rotor in balanced, opposing positions, and the motor spins the rotor at speeds up to 4000 rpm. The resulting centrifugal force, up to 2325 ×g, drives denser components to the bottom of the tubes for separation from the supernatant. The timer controls run length up to 60 minutes.
