The MTST HH-15 is a jacketed centrifuge designed for alcohol-based extraction of plant material. It uses a flat-bottomed drum built from 304 stainless steel with a sanitary surface finish and no dead spots, giving an enclosed, clean working chamber for solvent contact and separation.
The unit features an explosion-proof three-phase 220V/60Hz motor, PLC and touchscreen control, and a variable-frequency control cabinet for adjustable operation. Sanitary quick-connect inlet and outlet ports include sight glasses and valves, and seals use PTFE and fluorine rubber, with a double-layer fluorine rubber water/oil seal on the main shaft.
This model is intended for laboratory and processing facilities running batch extractions where an enclosed, solvent-compatible centrifuge is required.
Crushed plant material is loaded into a filter bag and placed in the drum, then alcohol is added until the material is submerged. A programmed bidirectional spin cycle contacts the solvent with the material to extract soluble components. The liquid extract is drained through the bottom valve, after which the material is spun at high speed to remove remaining liquid.
