The PPTD-50 is an industrial filtering centrifuge built for solid-liquid separation in laboratory and processing settings. It uses a top-discharge, hermetically sealed design: material is introduced through a feed pipe into the rotating drum, where centrifugal force drives the liquid phase through the filter medium while solids are retained inside the basket and removed from the top after the run.
The unit features an 85L drum (600 mm diameter) running at 1500 rpm with a separation factor of 755 g. All parts in contact with the material are made of SS304L stainless steel, and the inner bowl accepts a filter bag in the 200-600 mesh range that can be selected to suit the application.
It is intended for facilities separating crystals or solids from liquids and for processing plant-derived oils, with a sealed enclosure that allows feeding, washing, and dehydrating to be performed in a closed state.
A motor drives the basket through a belt at high speed under PLC control. Material is fed into the basket, and centrifugal force pushes the liquid phase through the filter medium and out through the liquid pipeline, while the solid phase remains in the basket. Feeding stops when the solid cake reaches the drum's holding capacity; the cake is then washed and dried. Once the cake meets discharge requirements, the machine slows and the solids are removed from the top.
