1 / 24This 5LB closed-loop extractor is built for botanical extraction using liquefied solvent. The system is constructed from SS304 stainless steel and rated for a maximum allowable working pressure of 150 PSI across an operating range of -40F to 200F.
The unit uses a bi-directional solvent flow design intended to reduce channeling through the material. It ships with two jacketed 4" x 36" material columns that can be paired with a chiller to dewax and winterize extract, trapping fats and lipids within the column filter. A jacketed collection base allows heat assistance during recovery without using a separate heat bath.
The extractor is mounted on a welded stainless steel rack with casters and includes hardware for active recovery, high-pressure sight glasses for process monitoring, and a hemispherical sauce server platter for pressure-based extract removal. It is intended for use by trained operators in a processing setting.
Liquefied solvent is passed through the packed material column to dissolve the target compounds, then routed to a jacketed collection chamber where it is separated from the extract. The closed-loop layout recovers and recycles solvent rather than venting it, while the jacketed columns and base support chilling for dewaxing and heat-assisted recovery. Sight glasses let the operator observe the extraction and recovery stages.
