This is a circulating water vacuum pump, model SHZ-D(III), built for laboratory use where a clean, oil-free vacuum source is needed. It uses a water jet to draw vacuum and is intended to support processes such as evaporation, distillation, crystallization, drying, sublimation, filtration, degassing, and pressure reduction.
The unit has two suction taps, so two operations can run at once, and twin vacuum gauges for monitoring. Wetted components including the pump head, impeller, and jet assembly are made from corrosion-resistant materials, with a stainless steel shaft and a plastic water tank, helping the pump resist acids, alkalis, and solvents without contaminating the work area.
It is suited to universities, research institutes, and small-scale work in chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, food, and agricultural laboratories. The pump can support a 2 L or 5 L glass reactor or a rotary evaporator.
A motor-driven jet circulates water from the onboard tank, and the moving water stream creates a low-pressure region that draws vacuum at the suction taps. The pump head sits directly in the water, eliminating separate water-diversion plumbing. Vacuum performance improves when the circulating water is held between roughly 4 and 10 degrees C, so users may add ice through the removable top cover.
