Rotation speed is shown on a digital display and adjustable from 0 to 120 r/min, while the bath lifts automatically over a 0–140 mm range.

As the angled flask rotates, it spreads a thin film of liquid across its inner wall, increasing the surface area available for evaporation. Heat from the water or oil bath drives off solvent vapor, which is drawn under vacuum to the glass condenser, cooled, and collected in the receiving flask. A discharge valve at the bottom of the collecting flask allows the recovered solvent to be drained.
