The MTST EKD-TQ100S is a 1 LB closed loop extractor constructed entirely from SS304 stainless steel. It is designed for solvent-based extraction of plant material, recovering and recirculating the solvent within a sealed system.

The unit includes a solvent tank, material column, collection chamber, and product transfer tubing, along with an integrated pressure gauge for monitoring internal pressure during operation. The barrel-shaped column geometry is intended to simplify loading and cleaning between runs.

This system is suited to extraction labs and processing operations that require a compact, single-charge closed loop setup. A recovery pump is required for solvent recovery and is not included.

How It Works

In a closed loop system, a liquefied solvent such as butane is passed through a column of solid plant material to dissolve the target compounds. The solvent-rich liquid is collected in the collection chamber, then the solvent is recovered and recirculated within the sealed loop using a recovery pump, allowing the solvent to be reused across runs.
