The MTST FD-4 is a freestanding freeze dryer built for commercial-scale lyophilization. It offers a 0.4 m² drying area across four trays sized 200×430 mm, with a water capture capacity of 4–6 kg per cycle.
The unit is front-loading and reaches condenser temperatures of -35°C or lower while maintaining a vacuum below 15 Pa. It is intended for processors who need to dry meaningful batch volumes of botanical material and extracts.
With a rated power of 1550 W and 110V/60Hz operation (220V optional), the FD-4 suits extraction labs and production environments running repeated drying cycles.
Freeze drying removes moisture by freezing the loaded material, then drawing the chamber down to a vacuum below 15 Pa so that frozen water sublimates directly to vapor. The cold condenser, held at -35°C or lower, traps that vapor while the product dries at low temperature across the four trays.
