Pilot-scale in-situ stoppering freeze dryer with rectangular SS 304 chamber, touch-screen control, dual-stage refrigeration and two-stage vacuum pump for lyophilization of heat-sensitive materials.
This equipment is sold for lawful use only. Buyer is responsible for compliance with all applicable regulations.
This pilot-scale freeze dryer (lyophilizer) is designed for removing water or solvent from frozen samples by sublimation, a method suited to heat-sensitive materials such as biologicals, pharmaceuticals and food products. Pre-freezing and drying take place in a single rectangular chamber with in-situ stoppering for vials, reducing manual handling between process stages.
The drying chamber and shelves are made from polished SS 304, and a high-transmittance plexiglass door allows the operator to observe the sample throughout the run. Operation is managed through a touch-screen interface with both manual and automatic modes, along with real-time monitoring of shelf temperature, cold trap temperature and vacuum.
The unit is intended for laboratories and pilot production environments that require controlled, repeatable lyophilization with data logging and freeze-drying curve review.
The frozen sample receives controlled heat to vaporize the ice directly into vapor without passing through a liquid phase. A two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump lowers chamber pressure to aid vapor removal, and a refrigerated condenser (cold trap) captures and re-freezes the vapor. The process balances heat applied to the shelves against heat removed at the condenser to drive sublimation.
