1 / 13The ZZKD 10N-80D is a laboratory vacuum freeze dryer (lyophilizer) built for sublimation drying of frozen, water-bearing materials. It pairs a transparent bell-type drying chamber with a cold trap rated below -80°C (-100°C optional) and a 0.092 m² drying area across trays sized 200 mm with a 1 L tray capacity.
The system is configured for laboratory-scale work, with a 7-inch color LCD touch screen for displaying and following the drying curve. The cold trap offers a pre-freezing function and an internal heat exchanger to support its rated 3 kg water capture, and a nitrogen/inert gas fill valve allows the chamber to be backfilled after a run.
This unit is suited to labs and extraction or processing facilities that need to preserve the structure and composition of sensitive materials through low-temperature, low-pressure drying.
Freeze drying removes moisture by first pre-freezing the material, then lowering chamber pressure so frozen water sublimates directly from solid to vapor. The included 2XZ-2 rotary vane vacuum pump draws the chamber down to below 10 Pa while the cold trap, held below -80°C, condenses and captures the released vapor. An internal heat exchanger lowers the cold trap temperature to support water capture, and the pre-freezing function lets the trap chill material without a separate low-temperature freezer.
