1 / 9The MTST 10N-60A is a benchtop laboratory freeze dryer (lyophilizer) designed for sublimation drying of water-containing materials. It pairs a transparent bell-type drying chamber with a cold trap rated below -60°C (a -80°C option is noted) and ships with a rotary vane vacuum pump.
The system is operated through a 7-inch color touch screen that can display the drying curve. The drying chamber is formed as a single piece to reduce leakage points, and the cold trap includes a pre-freezing function. A water capture capacity of approximately 3 kg and a drying area near 0.12 m² make it suited to small lab batches.
It is intended for research labs and processing environments that need to dry samples while preserving their structure for later reconstitution.
Freeze drying, or lyophilization, first freezes a water-containing sample and then removes the ice by sublimation under vacuum. The vacuum pump lowers chamber pressure while the cold trap (below -60°C) condenses released vapor, allowing water to leave the material in solid-to-vapor form rather than as a liquid. This helps the dried product retain its original form for storage.
