1 / 13The MTST 10N-60D is a laboratory freeze dryer (lyophilizer) designed for sublimation drying of water-containing materials. It pairs a refrigerated cold trap with a vacuum system to remove moisture while preserving the structure of frozen samples. The unit has a 0.092 m² drying area, supports a 1 L tray capacity, and uses 200×3/4 mm trays spaced 70 mm apart.
The condenser reaches below -60°C, with an -80°C option, and the cold trap can capture up to 3 kg of water. A transparent bell-type drying chamber allows the process to be observed, and the chamber is formed as a single piece to reduce leakage. Operation is managed through a 7-inch color LCD touch screen that can display the drying curve.
This system is suited to laboratories and processing facilities that need to dry small batches while retaining the original biochemical properties of the material. The package includes a 2XZ-2 rotary vane vacuum pump.
Freeze drying, or sublimation drying, first freezes the water in a sample and then removes that ice directly as vapor under vacuum without passing through a liquid stage. The cold trap condenses the released vapor while the vacuum pump maintains low pressure, and an internal heat exchanger helps lower the cold trap temperature for stronger moisture capture. Dried material can later be rehydrated.
