The MTST FD-10N-60A is an updated-design freeze dryer (lyophilizer) configured with four trays measuring 200mm in diameter. It provides a total drying area of 0.12 square meters and a per-tray capacity of 1.5L, supporting batch drying of moisture-bearing materials.
The unit pairs a condenser rated below -60°C with a working vacuum of less than 5 Pa, and captures up to 3kg of water per cycle. With a stated power draw of 850W and a compact footprint, it suits small-batch processing and laboratory drying tasks.
It is intended for operators who need controlled, low-temperature drying of samples and extraction-related materials in a benchtop format.
Freeze drying removes moisture by sublimation: frozen material is held under vacuum (below 5 Pa here) so ice transitions directly to vapor, which then collects on the cold trap maintained below -60°C. This low-temperature approach dries material without passing through a liquid phase.
