1 / 9The MTST PKH-100 is a 100ml hydrothermal synthesis reactor built for reactions that require elevated temperature and pressure. It pairs a forged 304 stainless steel kettle body with a PTFE liner, allowing samples that are difficult to dissolve under ambient conditions to be processed in a sealed, corrosion-resistant vessel.
The reactor operates at a working temperature of ≤220°C and a maximum pressure of ≤10MPa, with 3MPa and 5MPa pressure ratings available as options. A quick-opening kettle body allows assembly and disassembly by hand without separate tools.
This unit is intended for laboratory operators running hydrothermal synthesis, dissolution, and digestion procedures that need a contained high-pressure environment. The reactor is designed to be heated in an oven rather than on direct heat sources.
Reaction material is placed into the PTFE liner, filled to no more than 80% of liner capacity, and sealed inside the stainless steel kettle with a gasket, kettle cover, and clamp. The assembled reactor is then heated in an oven at the specified heating rate. As temperature rises, internal pressure increases, dissolving samples within the sealed vessel. A bursting disc provides overpressure protection by relieving pressure automatically if the limit is exceeded.
