1 / 13The Swiben high pressure reactor is a benchtop SS304 autoclave that combines stirring, heating, and pressurized reaction in a single unit. It has a 500ml volume, a 70mm inner diameter, and a 150mm inner height, with a 14mm reactor wall thickness.
A static sealing structure keeps the medium and stirring components fully enclosed, which suits work with flammable, volatile, toxic, or otherwise penetrating chemical media. It is intended for gas-liquid, liquid-liquid, and liquid-solid reactions in research and teaching settings.
The unit is configured for laboratory-scale hydrothermal synthesis and similar high pressure chemistry where controlled temperature and agitation are required.
The vessel seals through a gasketed or tapered/arc contact surface that is compressed by tightening the main nut, eliminating leakage at the stirring interface. A magnetic heating mantle delivers up to 1.5kW of heat to bring the contents to temperature, while mechanical stirring runs up to 1000 r/min. After the reaction completes, the vessel is allowed to cool to room temperature before the lid is opened.
Benchtop SS304 high pressure autoclave reactor with 500ml volume, 22MPa rated pressure, and 350°C design temperature for hydrothermal synthesis.
