The MTST VF-50L is a benchtop and floor-standing vacuum filtration system built around a 50L Buchner-style funnel. It is designed to separate solids from liquids by drawing solvent and air through filter paper under reduced pressure, making it suitable for collecting crystals or removing solid impurities from solutions.

The funnel is made from GG17 high borosilicate glass and measures 275×290 mm, with an 80 mm flange suction-filter connection and a glass discharge valve at the 50 mm flange outlet. The supporting frame is stainless steel, mounted on locking universal-wheel casters for repositioning within a lab.

This unit fits processing and extraction labs that need a larger-capacity filtration stage. A pack of 100 filter paper sheets is included.

How It Works

A vacuum applied to the flask creates reduced pressure beneath the filter paper, forcing the solution and air through the medium. Solids are retained on the paper while filtrate passes through, allowing faster separation than gravity filtration.
