1 / 2Swiben muffle furnace with MoSi2 heating elements, 1700°C peak temperature, and a 100mm cubic chamber for high-temperature lab processing.
This equipment is sold for lawful use only. Buyer is responsible for compliance with all applicable regulations.
The Swiben muffle furnace is a high-temperature laboratory unit built around MoSi2 heating elements and a 100 × 100 × 100 mm chamber. It supports working temperatures up to 1600°C, with a short-duration maximum of 1700°C for under two hours.
Temperature is managed with a B-type platinum-rhodium thermocouple housed in a 99.7% purity alumina tube, providing ±1°C control accuracy and ±5°C uniformity across the chamber. The heating rate is adjustable from 0 to 20°C per minute.
The furnace runs on 110V 60Hz single-phase power at a rated 1.0 kW and carries CE certification, making it suited to ashing, thermal processing, and high-temperature material work in extraction and analytical labs.
MoSi2 heating elements raise the chamber to temperature while a B-type thermocouple feeds readings to the controller for closed-loop regulation. The adjustable heating rate and tight control tolerances allow controlled ramping and holding at set points.
