The unit uses borosilicate 3.3 glassware and a stainless steel water bath, with an automatic motorized lift that raises and lowers the bath over a 0–160 mm stroke. An LCD display shows bath temperature and rotation speed for straightforward monitoring.
It is intended for labs running standard evaporation and concentration tasks where larger flask volumes and consistent heat transfer are needed.
The sample flask rotates while partially immersed in the heated water bath, spreading the liquid into a thin film for efficient, even heat transfer. Under reduced pressure, solvent vapor rises through the vertical double condenser, condenses, and is collected in the 5L receiving flask, allowing distillation at lower temperatures.
