1 / 13The MTST R-1005 is a 5-liter rotary evaporator built for distillation and solvent evaporation in laboratory settings. It pairs a rotating evaporating flask with a vertical double-coil condenser and a 3-liter receiving flask to recover distillate.
The unit uses a stainless steel water bath with a temperature range from ambient to 99°C and an electric lift mechanism that raises and lowers the flask over a 0–100 mm stroke. Rotation speed is adjustable from 20 to 140 RPM through digital frequency-conversion stepless speed control.
It is intended for use in biology, chemistry, food, and general laboratory work where controlled evaporation under reduced pressure is needed.
The sample is held in the rotating evaporating flask, which is partially submerged in the heated stainless steel water bath. Rotation spreads the liquid into a thin film to increase surface area while the vertical double-coil condenser cools the rising vapor, returning it as distillate to the 3-liter receiving flask. Operating under vacuum with a compatible pump lowers the boiling point of the solvent.
