1 / 13The MTST SPD-5L is a 5L short path distillation system built from high borosilicate glass. It pairs a 5000mL boiling flask with a heating mantle and magnetic stirring, a distillation head, a cold trap, and a multi-position cow receiver for collecting fractions.
The unit runs on 110V/60Hz power, with 900W of heating capacity and a stated maximum heating temperature of 350°C. Stirring is driven by a 40W motor with speeds adjustable from 0 to 140 rpm, and an intelligent digital display supports temperature monitoring.
It is intended for laboratory separation, solvent recovery, and fraction collection in research, biological, and physical lab settings.
Material in the 5L boiling flask is heated by an electric mantle while magnetic stirring promotes even heating. Under vacuum (rated to 0.098 MPa), target compounds vaporize at reduced temperature, travel a short path to the distillation head, and condense into the cow receiver, with volatiles captured by the cold trap.
