1 / 16The MTST S-20L is a 20-liter double-layer glass reactor built for stirred chemical reactions under controlled temperature. The reaction medium sits in the inner glass vessel, while the surrounding jacket circulates a heat-transfer fluid, allowing the contents to be heated or cooled depending on the circulated source.
The vessel is made from GG17 high-borosilicate glass for chemical and thermal resistance, and is supported on a 304 stainless steel frame. A bottom PTFE glass discharge valve lets solid and liquid material be released from the base of the vessel.
This reactor suits pilot- and bench-scale work in fine chemical synthesis, bio-pharmaceutical development, and materials research where controlled stirring and temperature are required.
The inner glass vessel holds the reaction medium while a circulated fluid (refrigerant, hot water, or hot oil) passes through the surrounding jacket to heat or cool the contents. Under constant-temperature conditions the mixture is stirred and can react at normal or reduced pressure, with optional reflux. When the process is complete, material is drained through the bottom discharge valve.
