1 / 13The MTST S-50L is a double-layer (jacketed) glass reactor with a 50L reaction flask and a 12L interlayer. Reactants are processed in the inner borosilicate vessel while a heat-transfer fluid circulates through the surrounding jacket, allowing controlled heating or cooling during the reaction.
The unit is built on a 304 stainless steel frame and uses GG-17 high-borosilicate glass for the wetted components. It supports stirred reactions at atmospheric or reduced pressure, as well as reflux and distillation of the reaction solution.
It is intended for fine chemical, synthesis, and pilot-scale laboratory work where reaction temperature and stirring need to be regulated and the process observed through the glass vessel.
A heat-transfer fluid (hot oil, hot water, or chilled fluid) is circulated through the glass jacket, entering at the lower port and exiting at the upper port, to heat or cool the contents of the inner vessel. An AC motor with frequency-controlled stepless speed regulation drives an anchor-type stainless steel stirring bar sheathed in PTFE. The sealed PTFE flange stirring mouth allows operation under vacuum, and a condenser supports reflux and distillation.
