1 / 4Model: 5L
A 5 L benchtop fermenter with a borosilicate glass body and 316L stainless lid and base, with PID control of temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and stirring.
This equipment is sold for lawful use only. Buyer is responsible for compliance with all applicable regulations.
This is a 5 L benchtop fermenter/bioreactor built with a borosilicate glass vessel body and a 316L stainless steel lid and bottom. It is designed for off-site high-pressure sterilization, with the vessel autoclaved separately from the control unit. The system supports both cell culture and microbial fermentation work.
Process parameters are managed through a touchscreen controller using PID intelligent fuzzy control. The unit monitors and regulates temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), stirring speed, and foam level, and includes peristaltic pump feeding for acids, bases, antifoam, and supplements. The controller measures 480 × 320 × 665 mm and runs on 110V/60Hz, with a 220V option.
The configuration suits research, teaching, and small-scale process development labs that need an instrumented, monitored fermentation vessel with an approximate 1:1.4–2.2 aspect ratio.
The glass vessel holds the culture medium while a magnetic or mechanical stirrer with a shaft and impeller provides mixing at 50–100 rpm. Sensors feed temperature, pH, DO, and foam readings to a PID controller that adjusts conditions, with a peristaltic pump dosing acids, bases, antifoam, and supplements. An exhaust condenser handles vapor from the headspace, and the vessel is sterilized off-site in a high-pressure pot before use.
