1 / 25The MTST Chemical Reactor is a 5 L double-layer (jacketed) glass reaction vessel built for stirred chemical processing. The inner chamber holds the reaction medium while the surrounding jacket circulates a heat-transfer fluid such as chilled coolant, hot water, or thermal oil, allowing the reaction to be held at a controlled temperature.
The vessel is constructed from GG17 high-borosilicate glass and includes a PTFE bottom discharge valve for draining material after a run. A 60 W motor drives the stirrer across a 0–600 rpm range (up to 1300 rpm), with a rated motor torque of 4800 g/cm. The unit is mounted on a floor-type frame.
It is intended for laboratory and pilot-scale synthesis work where controlled-temperature stirred reactions, reflux, or distillation are required.
The reaction medium is held in the inner glass chamber while a cold or hot fluid is circulated through the outer jacket to set and maintain temperature. Stirring is provided by a variable-speed motor-driven shaft. Reactions can be run at normal or reduced pressure, with reflux or distillation as needed, and finished material is drained through the PTFE valve at the base of the vessel.
