Model: Electrolysis Furnace
Vacuum molten salt electrolysis furnace rated to 1200°C with a 310S stainless reactor and water-cooled sealing for high-temperature electrochemical research.
This equipment is sold for lawful use only. Buyer is responsible for compliance with all applicable regulations.
This vacuum molten salt electrolysis furnace is built for high-temperature molten salt electrochemistry, where molten salt acts as an ionic conductor with a wide electrochemical window and fast reaction kinetics. It is intended for laboratory and research work in electrochemical metallurgy, such as electrolytic metal processes.
The reactor chamber is constructed from 310S austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel, chosen for its high creep strength and resistance to oxidation and corrosion at elevated temperatures. Alloy heating wires are arranged in a ring pattern inside the chamber to promote uniform temperature distribution, and vacuum-formed refractory insulation helps reduce heat loss and power consumption.
The system is rated to 1200°C and includes a water-cooled sealing structure that lowers flange temperature to protect the sealing rings and maintain vacuum integrity during processing. Optional vacuum pump and chiller accessories are available.
Solid-state thyristor modules regulate power to the ring-arranged alloy heating elements, raising the 310S stainless chamber to operating temperature. Molten salt within the chamber serves as the high-temperature electrolyte, and multiple electrode connectors allow electrode configurations to be switched for electrochemical experiments. A programmable controller follows stored process curves while the water-cooled seal keeps flange temperatures within range to maintain the vacuum.
