The BR-18HM-1 is an ultra-high-temperature box (muffle) furnace that combines the heating chamber and control system in a single compact unit. This configuration features a 1L chamber measuring 100 x 100 x 100mm and a rated power of 2kW, with a maximum temperature of 1800°C and a continuous working temperature of 1700°C.
The chamber lining uses vacuum-formed high-purity alumina poly-light material with three layers of ceramic fiber insulation, which provides low heat storage and reduces the overall weight of the furnace. A double-layer steel casing with cooling fans keeps the outer shell surface temperature low during operation.
It is intended for sintering, melting, and material analysis of metals, non-metals, ceramics, titanium, and other compounds in university, research institute, and industrial laboratory settings.
Heating is delivered by 1800-type MoSi2 elements controlled by a 0.2-level industrial intelligent instrument using PID control through an SCR phase-angle power stage. A B-type thermocouple with a 99.7% purity alumina tube provides feedback for temperature regulation. The operator programs a heating curve of up to 30 segments defining heating rates, dwell holds, and cooling rates, then starts the cycle for automatic, unattended operation.
