The inner chamber holds the reaction medium while the surrounding jacket circulates a heat-transfer fluid, allowing the contents to be heated or cooled depending on the source supplied.
The unit is mounted on a 304 stainless steel frame and includes a PTFE bottom discharge valve for releasing solid or liquid material. With a stated reaction temperature range of -80 to 250 C and operation under normal or reduced pressure, it suits synthesis, mixing, and reflux work in chemical, pharmaceutical, and materials labs.

A heat-transfer fluid circulates through the glass jacket while the inner flask holds the reaction medium. Heating or cooling is set by the temperature of the circulated fluid, and the motorized stirrer mixes the contents. Reactions can run at normal or negative pressure, and finished material is drained through the bottom PTFE discharge valve.
