The vessel is made from high-borosilicate glass and is supported by a stainless steel (304) frame. A bottom discharge valve allows liquids and solids to be drained from below the vessel.
The reactor pairs a variable-speed stirring system with a water or oil heating bath, giving an operating temperature range of RT to 250C. It is intended for synthesis, reflux, and small-scale pilot or production work in chemical, materials, and laboratory settings.
The sealed glass vessel holds the reaction mixture while the stirrer mixes the contents at a set speed. A surrounding water or oil bath supplies heat to maintain a constant temperature, and reactions can be run at normal pressure or under vacuum. After the reaction, material is drained through the bottom discharge valve.
